The
flavor and richness of the eggs is a reflection of the lives my hens lead:
days filled with fresh air, sunshine, and the freedom to range and forage
hillsides and creek beds on the farm. The chickens and ducks are raised on pasture and have year-round access to green grass. They freely range the farm, spending their days amongst the sheep, goats and cows.
In fact, we don't even lock up the chickens and ducks at night, thanks to our team of livestock guardian dogs who protect the ranch. The doors to the poultry houses are always left open so the chickens and ducks put themselves away at night and let themselves out in the morning at first light of day.
In addition to whatever they forage, their diets are supplemented with organic grains.
