About Happy Hens Farm

Happy Hens Farm is a small farm located on Sonoma Mountain in Petaluma, California. I produce pastured eggs and chicken; 100% grassfed and grass-finished lamb, beef and occasionally goat; and pasture-raised heritage turkeys (seasonally) from my own breeding stock.

All the animals are raised in a stress-free, sustainable environment as possible. The farm is in the process of organic certification.

Eggs, chickens and meat may be purchased at our Farm Store.

Happy Hens Farm is the culmination of a 7-year pursuit to leave my urban life in Berkeley, California behind and buy a farm in Sonoma County. I bought the farm a little over five years ago with the idea of growing my sheep and cow herds, which I had been boarding on various friends farms. About Happy Hens Farm

Happy Hens Farm is located in California's Sonoma County, about one hour north of San Francisco. We raise pastured chickens and ducks for both eggs and meat. The chickens and ducks freely range and forage the farm. The eggs and meat are sold direct to consumers either through Highland Hills Farm at the Berkeley Farmers Markets or off the farm. We also raise grass-fed lamb. The lamb graze freely on our pastures and are never grained or medicated. They include a variety of heritage breeds, including Scottish Blackface, Horned Dorset, St. Croix, Navajo-Churro and Icelandic. Lamb is sold directly from the farm.
